PREMISE

FOREX Trading Application is a trading platform within Foreign Exchange focusing on Spot trading. The platform provides traders the dashboards for simple and complex trading, market quotes, account management functionalities and reporting capabilities. The project itself is multi-user client\server application, consisting of five separate applications (servers) and client side.

Primarily our client worked with several other development companies. The primary task set to XITEX Software was the profound and deep code refactoring, as the code in general wasn’t working properly. There were several serious problems with database structure, memory leaks, application logics etc in the project. The company asked XITEX Software to make a serious code analysis, fix bugs and add new features. We were given the source codes.

SOLUTION

For the period of work on the project the code was checked, refactored and practically completely rewritten. We managed to solve actual problems with Hibernate, ActiveMQ, calculations errors and memory leaks, expand the general functionality of the system. The server for report management and ant scripts for build and run of server application were also added.
